Upgrade your Brick Fireplace with Whitewash

Looking for an instant change to your brick fireplace? Learn how to whitewash brick for a quick update.

Supplies Needed

Step 1: Clean your brick with dish soap, water and cloth or a rag.

Step 2: Apply FrogTape Multi-Surface Painter's Tape to all surrounding surfaces to prevent any paint bleeds.

Step 3: Mix equal parts paint with water in a bucket. Adjust mixture until you get the look you want.

Step 4: Brush on the whitewash, first on the grout lines, then on the bricks. Wipe the wet bricks and grout with a clean cloth as you go.

Step 5: While the paint is still wet, remove the painter's tape.

Sit back, relax and enjoy your updated fireplace!
