    1

    Prep

Determine where you want to paint the mural. Then, wipe down your selected wall with a lightly damp rag to remove dirt or dust.

  • A hand using a red contractors pencil to sketch out lines on a wall
    2

    Sketch the Design

Use a pencil to sketch out your mural onto the wall. You can choose any design! Ashley chose to draw out botanical palm leaves.

  • Yellow FrogTape Delicate Surface Painter's Tape being placed on a blue wall, covering a penciled sketched line
    3

    Protect with Tape

Using FrogTape® Delicate Surface Painter’s Tape, tape along sketch lines, on baseboards, ceilings and adjoining walls. For best results, after application, run a damp cloth over the edges of the painter’s tape to activate the Paint Block® Technology.

  • White paint being applied in between two lines of Yellow Delicate Surface Painter's Tape on a blue wall with a paint brush

    Paint the Design

Paint inside the taped off area with a color of your choosing. This will act as the leaf stems. Then, remove the FrogTape® Delicate Surface Painter’s Tape surrounding the stems while the paint is still wet.

Next, paint the individual palm leaf fronds using a small paintbrush.

  • Yellow FrogTape Delicate Surface Painter's Tape Being Removed from baseboard trim to reveal a crisp paint line

    Remove Tape

To wrap up, remove the remaining FrogTape® Delicate Surface Painter’s Tape from the wall by pulling the tape slowly at a 45-degree angle.
