Geometric Wall Feature

Liven up your space with a geometric wall feature and FrogTape® Painter's Tape.

Finished geometric wall mural, orange, white, and black. In front is a small wooden drawers with a pink lamp and other small items atop. There is a small white stool on the left of the drawers and a basket on the right.

Supplies Needed

  • Furniture
    1

    Step 1

Paint the wall the lightest color you will be using.

  • A white wall with a diagonal green tape line going across from top left to bottom right. Small wooden table with green top at the bottom of the image.
    2

    Step 2

Using FrogTape® Multi-Surface, run a strip of tape diagonally from one of the top corners of the wall all the way to the bottom corner of the wall. If the wall is freshly painted (just a few days or less), use FrogTape® Delicate Surface instead. My wall had cured for a week, so I used FrogTape® Multi-Surface. Also, you will want to run a strip of tape along the edges of any walls that meet up to your feature wall as shown in the image above.

    Step 3

From your two remaining paint colors, choose the one you want to see the most of, in my case, black, and paint that color within the triangle you just created. Immediately after your final coat, remove the FrogTape®. Let the paint cure for a minimum of 24 hours.

  • Green FrogTape Multi-Surface Painter's Tape being peeled off of a wall. The tape is creating a crisp line on a wall between the black and white side of the wall.

    Step 4

Using FrogTape® Delicate Surface, create another small triangle at the top of the wall.

  • Wall cut in half by a diagonal line. Left side white with a small taped off triangle in the upper left, right side black. Small wooden table with a green top near the bottom of the image
    5

    Step 5

Paint your remaining color into this triangle.

  • Geometric painted wall. Diagonal line splitting the wall in half. Upper left small orange triangle, bottom left white, right side black. Small green table at the bottom of the image
    6

    Step 6

Remove the FrogTape® immediately after your last coat.
