Watch this step-by-step guide to learn how to paint trim like a pro.
Materials Needed:
Step 1: Patch any cracks or holes in the trim, then sand. Clean the trim with a damp sponge to remove dust. If needed, run a bead of caulk in the gap between the trim and wall to seal.
Step 2: Apply FrogTape Painter's Tape between the trim and the wall, and between any carpeting and the trim.
Step 3: Prime - Apply 1-2 coats of primer. Dry for at least 24 hours, then lightly sand. Remove dust with a microfiber cloth.
Step 4: Paint - Slowly paint a few feet at a time. Move on to the next few feet and repeat, overlapping the previous section to ensure blending.
Step 5: Remove the painter's tape while the paint is still wet.
