Paint Trim for a Modern Update
- FrogTape Painter's Tape
- 2.5-in. Angled Brush
- 4-in. Foam Roller
- Glossy Latex Paint
- 80-, 100- and 120-Grit Sandpaper
- Microfiber Cloth
Patch any cracks or holes in the trim, then sand. Clean the trim with a damp sponge to remove dust. If needed, run a bead of caulk in the gap between the trim and wall to seal.
Apply FrogTape Painter's Tape between the trim and the wall, and between any carpeting and the trim.
Prime - Apply 1-2 coats of primer. Dry for at least 24 hours, then lightly sand. Remove dust with a microfiber cloth.
Paint - Slowly paint a few feet at a time. Move on to the next few feet and repeat, overlapping the previous section to ensure blending.
Remove the painter's tape while the paint is still wet.
