Create Custom Patterned Corkboards

Ashley and Jamin from The Handmade Home created this simple custom corkboard project. These corkboards can be used as ongoing art and photo displays for the entire year. They are also a sweet reminder to enjoy life every day, and curate a space for play.

    Getting Started

First, create a simple pattern by alternating various widths of Frogtape® Multi-Purpose Painter's Tape to the corkboards. Laying all of the strips of tape at once helps keep the lines even and establishes an easy pattern.

If you wish to add color to your the edges of the corkboard frame, now is the time with everything protected.

    Painting

Now it's time to paint. In whichever color your like, add lines of color to add the painted pattern to your corkboard. Lastly, pull the tape off of the corkboard and watch the finished product come to life.

  • Three photo boards stacked in a row. The top and bottom ones have horizonal orange lines running accross them and the middle one has vertical orange lines running up and down.
