Getting greener with FrogTape®

As consumers and pros look for more environmentally friendly solutions to support their everyday tasks, we have a responsibility to do the same for our products. That’s why we’re taking steps with our FrogTape® Signature Series painter’s tapes to use more sustainable materials.

In the beginning, our Signature Series painter's tapes were stored in plastic containers to protect the tape edges from damage.
But today that changes.
We're excited to announce the same great products, now in plastic-free packaging
A small change for a big environmental impact.

Let’s clear things up about the new packaging

  • Image showing a yellow-green background with a black cracked pattern resembling dried earth, bordered by solid black lines at the top and bottom.
    Myth #1:

The plastic container keeps the tape and PaintBlock® Technology from drying out.

    Fact:

FrogTape® Signature Series tapes with PaintBlock® Technology do not need protection from drying out.

  • Close-up of a green surface with water droplets and darker green streaks creating a textured, wet appearance.
    Myth #2:

The plastic container protects PaintBlock® Technology from humidity.

    Fact:

PaintBlock® Technology and its performance are not impacted by humidity.

  • Yellow textured surface with a raised recycling symbol of three arrows forming a triangle, set against a black background.
    Myth #3:

The paperboard package can’t be reused.

    Fact:

The paperboard package can be reused for leftover tape and is curbside recyclable.

  • Green background with clover leaves and overlaid chemical structures featuring hexagonal rings, nitrogen, oxygen, chlorine, hydroxyl, and amine groups.
    Myth #4:

The container changed to paperboard because the tape formula changed.

    Fact:

The packaging update is not due to a formulation change but introduces a sustainable option with the same protection.

  • Green-toned image of assorted plastic waste including bottles and containers, symbolizing environmental concerns and recycling.
    Myth #5:

FrogTape® Signature Series products historically only use plastic containers. Why is this change happening?

    Fact:

This change will have a significant environmental impact by reducing plastic usage.

Environmentally responsible paper and adhesive solutions

On top of our new paperboard packaging, FrogTape is already invested in impactful sustainability efforts for the two main components of painter’s tape: the paper and the adhesive.
