How to Paint a Trellis Design
Materials Needed:
• FrogTape® brand painter’s tape
• Ruler or t-square
• Paint – at least two different colors or sheens
• Roller and paintbrush
• Paint trays – one for each color or sheen of paint
• Drop cloths
• Ladder or step stool – depending on desired height of design
Step 1
Paint walls with your desired background color (to choose the right tape for your project, view our tape selector chart).
Step 2
Mask off overlapping squares using a ruler or a T-Square, to create the trellis design.
Step 3
Paint the entire wall.
Step 4
Carefully remove FrogTape as soon as you are done painting.
*Be sure to follow paint manufacturer’s instructions for paint cure times.
