How to Paint a Vase

It's all too often that we come across our dream room design in home furnishing catalogs. The rooms where everything matches perfectly, from the end tables to the picture frames hanging on the wall. How do you achieve such a room? It’s nearly impossible to find complete room décor that matches everything. And when you do, it might cost you a fortune. The best way to get all the things in your room to match perfectly is by doing it yourself. But you don’t have to have the steady hand of an artist or the patience of a saint. With FrogTape® brand painter’s tape you can easily create and design the perfect look for your dream home furnishings. Try this project to see just how easy it is.

Tools and Supplies Needed
Glass vase
FrogTape brand painter's tape

Step 1 Be sure to wipe the entire vase down so that it is dry and free of dust.

Step 2 From the top left corner, measure two inches to the right (or desired distance based on your item) and make a small pencil mark along the rim.

Step 3 Take a strip of FrogTape and, from the pencil mark line, the left edge of your tape to the bottom left hand corner of the vase.

Step 4 Measure again from the top left corner about .5 inches (or desired distance based on your item) and make a small pencil mark.

Step 5 With a strip of FrogTape, line the right edge of the tape from the pencil mark to the bottom left hand corner of the vase.

Step 6 Using the desired paint color, evenly coat the surface between the two strips of FrogTape.

Step 7 Remove the tape slowly and let the paint cure completely.

Step 8 Display and enjoy.
